Content is King

One of the keys to managing a successful community (whether it’s for a client or your personal blog/twitter feed) is to provide your readers with fresh, compelling, relevant content.
Take off your PR/marketing/ego shades and look through the lens of a community member or subscriber and ask yourself “what’s in this for me?” Hopefully your answer is not just that you’re providing deals, news about new offerings, or status updates about what what you’re doing right now. Here’s a shocker… Not everything you say needs to be about you or your products. Share cool. Share funny. Share expertise. Just share content.
